The Board of Directors of EBS Inc. & EBSnet
Inc. announced the appointment of Thomas
Volz to the position of Vice President over
Sales & Marketing and his appointment to the
companies' Board of Directors, effective
January 13, 2003.
Mr. Volz is assuming the position of Vice
President from Peter Van Oudenaren,
President and CEO of the companies.
"Thomas Volz comes to the EBS companies with
a wealth of management experience," said Mr.
Van Oudenaren" and he brings with him a
strong understanding of the embedded
software industry, its global growth profile
and profit potential. The Board of Directors
is excited about the future growth and
expansion of the companies' markets under
Thomas' leadership."
In 1974, Mr. Volz formed Volz Investments
where he is presently on the Board of
Directors. He is also currently a member of
the Board of Directors and Chairman of
eChipit Inc., a technology based marketing
company.
From 1981 to 1985, Mr. Volz was employed by
CPI Corporation, wherein he held a variety
of positions in management and worldwide
sales & marketing and in 1983, was appointed
Regional Director, Eastern Region. In 1990,
he was recruited to NSI Inc., a privately
held Utah-based company, in which he served
through his independent organization, as
President and CEO. Within two years he
developed distributorships in U.S., Canada,
Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong and Europe. From
1998 to 2001, Thomas Volz served as Vice
President of Treck Inc., a Cincinnati based
embedded software company. He was directly
responsible for developing the vision and
strategy, day-to-day management and new
business development opportunities. In
addition, he was responsible for Treck's
sales operations worldwide and formed joint
ventures in the U.S., providing software
services for their markets, thus building
the company's local and global positions
into a growing and successful business. Mr.
Volz introduced ISO 9001 and implemented
company policies, procedures and
documentation for this project. In 2001,
Volz assisted in the sale of Treck Inc. to
Elmic Systems of Japan, and the launching of
Elmic Systems USA Inc.
